Nutshell

Remodelling of 80’s house, Essex

In a nutshell, this is a remodelling of the ground floor to create a grand entrance-dining-kitchen-sitting room opening southwest into an extended terrace and up into the garden beyond. The north wing is partially extended and divided into a sitting room at the front and a family room at the back. The east wing kept as study, shower-room and utility.  Then to the garden, re-worked to give a fanned-out, wide, smooth, level-access terrace outside the kitchen, sitting and family rooms, all of which slide open to the new hard landscape and mini tropical palm islands.
