New vocational classrooms for Shooters Hill Post-16 Campus, Woolwich, London
“These new facilities are a fantastic addition to the Shooters Hill Campus. The new classrooms will mean even more students can benefit from the wide variety of courses and educational opportunities available. I’m especially pleased with the environmental efficiency of the new facilities and hope to see more of this forward-thinking in future projects”
Councillor Jackie Smith, Greenwich Council
Commissioned by Shooters Hill Post 16 Campus, this building was completed in September 2008 containing nine classrooms, workshops and exhibition space.
Following the success of the first building, further classrooms were installed in 2010
All set within the existing campus grounds, the containers were painted green, with the corrugation visible to highlight the sustainable nature of the product.
Students, staff and supporting organisations have been impressed with the flexibility of the system that allows them to add more space when it’s needed whilst the fast installation times have meant little disruption to students as they can be installed during campus holidays.
